Sending Individual SMS messages


All SMS Messages can be sent for an individual client from the Appointment Book. SMS Reminders can also be sent in bulk.
 
There are three types of messages that can be sent for any client with a mobile phone number. Options > SMS Reminders  and an SMS template will need to be set up for both SMS Reminder and SMS Confirmation messages.
  • An adhoc SMS - this is a free form message that is entered at the time of sending
  • An SMS Reminder - can be sent individually or in bulk.
  • A Confirmation SMS - This can be send independently of whether an SMS reminder is selected to be sent or not and can not be sent in bulk.
 

To send an adhoc SMS message:

In the Appointment Book
Right click on the relevant Client's appointment
Select Send SMS
 
The send SMS form displays
Type in the message to send or select an SMS Template from the drop down
  • If the adhoc SMS is created from an appointment, then any merge fields will updated in the template
  • Note the character count on the bottom left.
Click Send
 
 

To send a Confirmation message:

In the Appointment Book
Right click on the relevant Client's appointment
Select Send Confrmation SMS
Click Yes to Confirm sending the SMS
Click OK to the SMS Successfully sent message box.
 
 

To send a Reminder message:

In the Appointment Book
Right click on the relevant Client's appointment
Select Send SMS Reminder
Click Yes to Confirm sending the SMS
Click OK to the SMS Successfully sent message box.
